As Nike and all its arms continue to pivot towards the green, there’s no better time to get in on the action than right now. The Nike Air Pegasus 89, a tentpole of this new golf strategy, is gearing up in a commemorative “Accept And Embrace” colorway.
The title is proudly stamped on the tongue, a reference to the zen needed on the links, even at the absolute height of the sport. It’s written out in Carolina Blue, a shade that plays a central accenting role throughout this shoe as an ode to this year’s Pinehurst No. 2 venue for the major. Notes of grey, white and navy close out the palette, but the additional conceptual piece comes into play on the suede overlays. They don a dimpled texture that reveals steely blue underneath, mirroring the sand traps that mark the Southeastern course.
