Everyone’s Favorite Nike Runner, The Zoom Vomero 5, Is Back In Black

White Swoosh logos add contrast.

Everyone’s Favorite Nike Runner, The Zoom Vomero 5, Is Back In Black

Casual sneakers are dominated by the likes of the Zoom Vomero 5, New Balance 1906R, and ASICS GEL-Kayano 14. It seems as if the sneaker industry as a whole has found this sweet spot in its consumer in terms of MSRP and aesthetic, and it’s the competition that keeps all the active players running on all cylinders when it comes new products.

All-Black with white logos is as simple as it sounds. Hardly a novel concept by any means, this colorway appears for the first time on Nike’s mid-2000s darling. With all-black as its based, reflective panels that shine in the dark, and a white Swoosh logo adding a eye-catching logo hit, this Zoom Vomero 5 is an ideal option for those who have always leaned toward the black-on-black look.

Structurally, this Zoom Vomero 5 is no different than what’s out on the market — and that’s a good thing. And quite honestly, it’s a much more approachable option than the recently revealed Dover Street Market Vomero 5s, which look clean but are nearly double the MSRP. You’re better of catching these for $160 when they appear on Nike.com.
