A “Bright Crimson/Hot Lava” Midsole Hits The Nike Lunar Roam

If the “Pink Sherbet” Nike Lunar Roam that dropped in May was a bit too loud for your taste, Nike just took the midsole of that colorway and married it with a “White/Black/Pure Platinum” upper.

The shoe still makes a statement through “Bright Crimson/Hot Lava” treatments underfoot, but keeps things conservative up top so as to pack two entirely different aesthetics in one design. We’ve obviously seen Nike take the structures of one shoe and slap them on another before, and it’s usually the sole as seen here, but subjectively speaking, the tactic tends to produce somewhat awkward outcomes on occasion. Most Lunar Roam colorways released thus far embrace either bright Y2K-era palettes or agreeable, contemporary looks, not both in one stroke. This pair might have an audience regardless, but the stark difference between its upper and lower halves is an eyebrow-raiser to say the least.

If you’re feeling this Lunar Roam colorway, look for it to arrive on shelves in Fall 2024 for $150. Enjoy official retailer images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to see more upcoming Nike drops.
