Nike ACG Brings Back The Izy Moccasin This Holiday

Gorpcore galore.

Nike ACG Brings Back The Izy Moccasin This Holiday

The December 2023 SNKRS Showcase highlighted the return of four different Nike ACG models from the late 1990s. The Torre Mid, Air Exploraid, and Rufus have since been re-released to consumers throughout the course of 2024 thus far, and now the last of the bunch, 1999’s Nike ACG Izy moccasin, is officially set to return Holiday 2024.

A sibling of the ACG Rufus, the Izy moccasin features the same exact sole unit but with a more elaborate, chukka-style upper. An all-suede upper is decorated by contrast stitching on this “Black/Limestone” pair, complete with a zipper enclosure on the forefoot and heel pull tab that extends down to the sole. As with all Nike ACG footwear, the shoes also meet strict weatherproofing standards.

Much like other returning models like the Air Max Sunder and aforementioned ACG cuts, the Izy takes aim at the “gorpcore” niche dominated by Salomon, HOKA, and other upwards-trending brands. At the same time, it speaks to the re-introduction of moccasins and other woven footwear like the Nike Footscape to the Beaverton brand’s catalog.

Several colorways including this “Black/Limestone” edition are expected to arrive Holiday 2024, but no release dates have been made public at the time of this writing. Know that our Sneaker Release Dates page will be kept current with all the latest available information.
