A Muted Color Palette Shines On The Nike Air Max 1 “Hydrangeas”

Perfect for your floral summer fits.

A Muted Color Palette Shines On The Nike Air Max 1 “Hydrangeas”

While best recognized in original “Sport Red” color blocking, the Nike Air Max 1 frequently breaks the mold through outside-the-box general release colorways that are arguably just as compelling. Next up for the Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe is the AM1 “Hydrangeas” for women, decorated by lively colors and non-traditional materials.

Multiple shades of purple appear on the upper, complemented by sparse instances of golden yellow for a refreshing summer medley. The shoe’s material composition, too, is just as diverse. The quarter and heel panels come crafted out of tumbled leather, hairy suede appears on the forefoot and upper eyestay, and the mudguard is made of nubuck. It also appears that the off-white base opts for a different, more gauze-like mesh than we’re used to seeing on the model, and the Air chambers appear in “Light Violet Ore” for added intrigue.

The Air Max 1 “Hydrangeas/Dark Raisin/Light Violet Ore” is set to arrive Fall 2024 for $140 in women’s sizing, likely sooner rather than later while florals are still in bloom. See detailed images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.

Staying within the Air Max family, the Air Max Dn continues to surface in new colorways.
