Nigel Sylvester’s relationship with Jordan Brand approaches its biggest milestone to date as the sponsored BMX rider gets the honor of officially introducing a new model to the world. Back in April, an Instagram video of Nigel with his Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway” was the first time we saw the ambitious low-top Jordan 4 in all its glory, teeing off extraordinary anticipation for Nigel’s collab in particular.

The model itself has since surfaced in several upcoming general release colorways for Fall/Holiday 2024, and we’ve continued to learn more about the significance behind the design of Nigel’s pair. A picture of the shoes taken next to a matching green fence was quickly followed up by context; the design is inspired by Nigel’s grandmother’s driveway, the place where he fell in love with biking as a child.

Drawing from that setting, the entire upper comes coated in green nubuck/suede, complemented by special “Bike Air” branding on the heel in a clever choice. Other notable touches include mini Swoosh branding near the forefoot, “Bike Air By Jordan” text on the tongue, and splashes of red on center portions of the outsole.
