The Nike Air Max 95 is poised to have a banner year in 2025. As if news of a Nike SB x Air Max 95 wasn’t enough to stroke anticipation for the model’s 30th anniversary, the Beaverton brand’s Fall 2024 catalog has become jam-packed with several fresh, compelling colorways.
While this latest pair doesn’t boast the original “Neon” gradient as see on the upcoming Baltic Blue colorway, thoughtful accents and material choices make for an equally applaudable delivery. Taken with an “Obsidian” base, the upper features “Harbor Blue” hits on the tongue, heel, mini Swoosh, and suede top layer of the medial and lateral sides. The second layer comes crafted from leather and sports a slight reptilian texture in an intriguing twist, while the bottom half appears in nubuck to match the toe cap, paving a transition into an all-black midsole.
Notably, for longstanding devotees of the Sergio Lozano-designed shoe, blue-scale compositions such as this surely evoke memories of the iconic Stash Air Max 95 from 2006, which is widely regarded as one of the best sneaker collaborations of all time.
The Air Max 95 “Obsidian/Black/Harbor Blue” is set to release Fall 2024 for $185 in men’s sizing, although Nike hasn’t floated a firm drop date at the time of this writing. However, the arrival of official retailer images suggests the shoes will hit shelves sooner rather than later.
