Original article posted July 29th, 2024: We’ve seen a recent spate of New Balance 9060 releases that double down on the silhouette’s experimental hardware with experimental colorways; Red/Purple, “Blue Oasis,” and the just-unveiled Lavender/Burgundy. Given the reception to those eccentric looks, why not add another? “Butterscotch” is the latest edition on tap, imbuing a bit of autumnal energy while answering that same vibrant prompt.
Shaggy suede gets the bulk of the “Butterscotch” tonality here, draping the upper in typical wavy fashion. Underneath, hazelnut brown accents command the mesh, and in between, off-white overlays reflect the same touches on the tongue and midsole.
However, what really makes this New Balance 9060 colorway align with the aforementioned ones is the colorful hues throughout, with royal purple hitting the branding on the quarter and tongue, and pistachio green appearing on slight spots throughout the midsole.
