There’s another Paris-centric Air Jordan delivery on the way, but unlike most newly surfaced pairs, this one isn’t directly connected to the 2024 Olympic Games. Continuing to let different organizations touch up the Air Jordan 1 Mid following a project with New York City students earlier this year, Jordan Brand links with Paris fashion school Casa 93 on this latest pair, complete with both clear and subtle allusions to the collaborator’s home turf.
The project keeps things pretty minimal when it comes to co-branding, but a metallic hangtag makes Casa 93’s influence clear, reading “Seine-Saint-Denis” and “Neuf Trois” (ninety-three) in a nod to the Paris district and its corresponding administrative number. Otherwise, we see “93” text split up on the left and right heels and an insole graphic that displays the same text as the hangtag, only this time with a rough outline of Parisian districts in the middle.
White leather comprises the base of the shoe itself, while the overlays swap between grey suede and textured blue leather, the latter of which features green stitching to match the sock lining and top portion of the laces. Perhaps the neon hue is meant to honor the Basilica of Saint-Denis, which boasts a similar albeit more washed out green color.
Neither party has floated a release date at the time of this writing, but it’s possible pairs could drop sometime soon while the Paris Olympics are still running. In any case, know that this page and our Jordan Release Dates hub will be kept current with all the latest available information.
