One of the more intriguing nuggets to emerge in the wave of 2025 Jordan Release news from last month was news of a Swarovski Air Jordan 1 High OG. In a new wave of information, that shoe’s shape is coming a bit clearer into focus – it seems we’ll instead be receiving the jewelry company’s take on an Air Jordan 1 Low OG, but the price tag has been hiked up more than double the initially reported amount.
In accordance with past Swarovski x Swoosh efforts, we can expect a heavy dose of the imprint’s signature crystals to be planted atop the silhouette. “Stealth/Stealth” color codes are confirmed, so a tonal treatment is expected underneath, but the mock-up images creates here are entirely speculative.
This news hits on a notable shift in the Jordan Brand catalog- it’s easy to imagine such a significant release utilizing the High cut in past years, but the success of Travis Scott shoes and renewed focus on the lifestyle vertical makes the AJ1 Low a more suitable choice for this execution with how things current stand.
In that same vein, the AJ1 as a whole often the choice when Beaverton sets their sights on luxe footwear. The Dior collaboration is an obvious comparison, but the Air Jordan 1 Wings collection from earlier this year with ultra-premium materials presents a more recent example. On the other end, this continues a partnership with Swarovski that’s been consistent since 2018, unleashing takes on the Air Max 95 & 97, with an Air Max Plus release set for Holiday 2024.
While release info is liable to change (especially when it’s coming this far out), the Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is currently tabbed for a May 15th release in women’s sizing, retailing for $1000. Below you can catch a speculative mock-up image, though final product will likely diverge pretty greatly.
