HOKA has become one of the fastest-growing shoe brands in recent years, largely thanks to its unwavering commitment to its core customer base. While the “gorpcore” trend has served HOKA well when it comes to streetwear-minded consumers, the French brand’s core focus has remained staunchly on running culture, reflected by both the prevalence of HOKA-sponsored run clubs and its various collaborative projects.
Staying close to home, HOKA first linked up with Paris-based running brand Satisfy on Clifton LS in late 2023, releasing two colorways of the model. Now, the two French brands are reprising their relationship on another one of HOKA’s best sellers; the Mafate Speed 4 trail shoe. Far from a mere color dump, Satisfy’s Mafate Speed 4 actually brings a different version of the model to market, officially dubbed the Mafate Speed 4 Lite STSFY. The shoe features the same sole as the parent model, but the padded collar is removed in favor of slimmer, more form-fitting fabric up top, comprising a somewhat sleeker aesthetic.
Satisfy brings pull laces and thin, almost translucent synthetic material to the base of their two colorways, making for a lightweight and trail-ready wear. Options include a brown “Rubber” colorway and green “Sulfur” pair, both of which come with 3M detailing and Satisfy branding on the forefoot and heel.
Both colorways release August 9th for $210 and will be available online via both HOKA and Satisfy Running channels. Pairs are reported to be limited, so sign up to receive early access updates via Satisfy here if interested.
