The “DMV” Foamposite Is Now Releasing On August 23rd

While a few Northeastern metropolitan cities will attempt to lay claim on making the Foamposite hot, credit must go to the DMV for making the bulky, foam-molded basketball shoe one of the most iconic sneakers of the 21st century. Nike is recognizing DC’s influence, gracing the region with its own unique Air Foamposite One colorway.

Touching on the cherry blossoms native to the area, Nike adds a sublime touch of light pink on the Foamposite interior, while the conventional black suede and lace collar stay true to the OG Foams. The outsole, typically a translucent clear, features a tinge of that flowery pink, matching the 1-Cent emblem that sits on the heel. Above that is a direct call-out to the DC/Maryland/Virginia locale, while branches bearing the cherry blossom florals appear on light sky-blue insoles.

A quick note: the release date for the DMV Foamposite has been postponed to roughly one week later, landing at DMV-located retailers exclusively on August 23rd (it was previously expected on August 17th). Below is an official store list; enter raffles now to increase your chances at buying of the year’s most-wanted Foamposite releases.
