With one of the more extensive catalogs in Nike Basketball history, Kobe Bryant kicks are no stranger to inline themes that span a slew of sneakers in his backlog. Few touch the sentimental quality of all-white, however, started with 2023’s Kobe 8 and set to continue with the Kobe 9 “Halo” & Kobe 9 Low “Halo.” In anticipation of that weighty two-pack, Beaverton unveiled an apparel collection set to match those two shoes, set to release on Bryant’s birthday.
Though all of the pieces line up with Bryant’s performance-minded wardrobe, there’s a split between lifestyle and true on-court wear. We’ll begin with the former, highlighted by an all-white Dri-Fit hoodie that showcases the overarching silver accent notes that dot the full collection. A few finer details elevate this from your typical snowy Nike apparel, including a zipper charm that reflects the iconic triangular Kobe logo.
A collared full-zip sweater mirrors similar aesthetic choices, with cream linework throughout providing a real sense of depth on the design. The Kobe logo persists as a guiding light, emblazoned produly on the chest in sized-up fashion.
Finally, a pair of basketball shorts and a jersey might be the most unconventional of the full set. Each are reversible, swapping between gersilver snakeprint on the exterior and thematic pure white inside. Either makes for an eye-catching way to tap into the legendary Mamba Mentality.
Again, all of these pieces are expected to line up with the August 23rd release of those aforementioned Protro Kobe 9, the “Halo” apparel collection will likely launch directly alongside on SNKRS. Get a glimpse at the full collection just ahead.
