Sneaker News Updated October 14th, 2024: The ASICS UB9-S GEL-Kayano 20 by Kiko Kostadinov Studio is set to release on October 25th, 2024 for $200.
Kiko Kostadinov is a one-man machine over at ASICS. In addition to creating his own models completely from scratch, he’s tasked with implementing some functional revamps to already-existing models part of the seasonal line-up. We’ve already previewed several GT-2160 colorways coming your way this fall, alongside the higher-priced GEL-Quantum Kinetic for those who want to creep a bit closer to the Kiko x ASICS legacy; now a brand new model enters the Kiko Kostadinov Studio factory — the ASICS GEL-Kayano 20.
The full-length GEL-cushioned running shoe, which originally debuted in 2013, is next in line. Kiko adds the trademark asymmetrical pull-tabs on the tongue while encouraging some unique colorway options that are atypical of the ASICS brand. Beneath the overlays is a porous mesh layer, hitting on the sporty performance-meets-fashion crosshairs.
Seen in these preview images is a White/Red colorway as well as the Yellow/Black version, with several more likely coming in Holiday 2024 and into early 2025.
