After Stüssy Collab, Nike Is Bringing Back The Air Flight ‘89 Low

Stüssy makes a strong case for being one of if not the most influential brands to ever collaborate with Nike. Top shelf projects like 2005’s Stüssy SB Dunk aside, the SoCal skate and surf brand has helped revive a handful of archived models in recent years.

The LD-1000 stands as the most recent Stüssy resurrection, but in late 2023, the brand celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the Air Flight 89 with three low-top, snakeskin colorways. While the slightly different mid-top version enjoyed a brief stint from 2022 to early 2024, it appears that the Beaverton brand’s focus for Fall 2024 has shifted wholly to the low-top thanks to its now increased profile.

Now joining “Navy” and “Burgundy Crush” Air Flight 89 Low colorways on the seasonal slate is an all-suede “Khaki” pair, a vast departure from sport-appropriate materials and colors. The outsole, Swoosh, lining, and forefoot piping all appear in “Baroque Brown,” while a “Phantom” midsole introduces a slight vintage touch. To the uninitiated; the Air Flight 89 debuted alongside the Air Jordan 4 in 1989 and is largely thought of as the sister model of that shoe, capturing a similar aesthetic rooted in basketball nostalgia.

These are expected to release during the Fall 2024 shopping season for $140, although Nike hasn’t floated a firm date at the time of this writing. See official images below and return periodically to our Sneaker Release Dates page for updates.
