The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0” Adds A Starry Pattern

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0” Adds A Starry Pattern

Updated October 8th, 2024: A new, detailed look at the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0” has surfaced courtesy of @chriscolgan. These are currently expected to release February 2025 for $190.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro, arguably the most-wanted basketball shoe on the market, is going through a major transformation when it returns to stores in February 2025. Originally believed to be a simple Sail/Black two-toned colorway of the sixth model, this first look reveals a huge change on the upper’s snakeskin-inspired TPU exterior.

The first look image reveals that Nike has added a starry pattern on the raised TPU layer on the Kobe 6 Protro, replacing the conventional mamba-snake pattern that’s seen across the entire upper. However, Nike didn’t get rid of it completely; the warped, star-laden textile gradually morphs into the original snake from the lateral to the medial side.

Given the design, it seems that Nike has plans on dropping this Kobe 6 Protro “Sail” during All-Star Weekend 2025, which is set to take place in the Bay Area (Golden State’s Chase Center will be the hosts). Firm release details have not yet been announced, but a February 2025 release for $190 seems to be anticipated information as of the publishing of this article.
