Few silhouettes are as reliable as the adidas Samba, particularly in a moment where lifestyle shoes of its ilk are so in vogue. However, the end of summer means that it’ll become a much harder sell to rock the easy going Three Stripes classic. adidas is way ahead of you on that front, unveiling a “Night Indigo” pair of the Samba that adds waterproof material to its classic construction.

The change is easily apparent, swapping typical leather underlays for hydrophobic textile clad in fittingly aquatic “Preloved Ink.” Otherwise, this pair holds onto what makes the Samba great and propelled it to its current streetwear heights. Refined nubuck overlays, a textured sole and a matte white leather heel cup round out the toned-down design. Though boots and heavy duty footwear are just around the corner for most of us, this adidas Samba styles ensures that it won’t have to come out of your rotation entirely with a complementary, easily-styled colorway as a bonus.
