Sneaker News Another one bites the dust. The Air Jordan 5 “Black Cat” was shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Jordan drops of 2024, but unfortunately these will not see the light of day.
Originally reported in January of 2025, the Air Jordan 5 “Black Cat” was expected to hit retail donning a full all-black get-up similar to the Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat”. Although mock-up images are entirely speculative, there’s no other way to imagine a “Black Cat” Jordan 5 other than what was pictured below.
Sadly, according to Jordan release insider @MrUnloved1s, the Air Jordan 5 “Black Cat” drop is cancelled, joining the Air Jordan 12 “Bloodline” on the cutting room floor. This certainly lightens the load of Jordan releases for Holiday 2024, which already includes a number of heavy-hitting releases such as the Air Jordan 4 “Fear”, Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement”, and Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” — all of which are deemed “must-cop” by Jordan footwear fanatics.
