The 2000s Loom Large Over The Nike Air Pegasus 2K5 “Metallic Silver”

The Y2K sneaker wave rolls on.

The 2000s Loom Large Over The Nike Air Pegasus 2K5 “Metallic Silver”

Despite being rivaled by the Vomero 5 in Nike’s retro running category, the Pegasus 2K5 has made a successful comeback in 2024. The Beaverton brand has deployed a number of styles to help re-introduce the archival model to consumers, but like other Y2K runners, chromatic colorways are what the 2K5 does best. If you’re in agreement, you might find a winner in this newly surfaced black and “Metallic Silver” pair.

Diving head-first into early 2000s running aesthetics, the Beaverton brand brings two different silver finishes to the upper. Glossy “Metallic Platinum” polishes the cage and toe, while matte “Flat Silver” settles on the underlays, jointly providing stark contrast against a black mesh base. Fulfilling a cohesive look, the design is complete with a black midsole and “Metallic Silver” outsole. All told, the shoe offers a solid gateway into even flashier retro running looks through a versatile, dual-tone arrangement.

Enjoy official images below and expect pairs to hit shelves in the near future for $150 in men’s sizing.

Staying within the era at hand, the Air Max Sunder continues to surface in new colorways.
