The CBA star's trademark colorway hits the premium AJ39.

Guo Aulin’s Run Of Spotlight PEs Continues On The Air Jordan 39

Stateside, the Zion 3, Tatum 3 and Luka 3 remain a three-headed monster for athlete-driven performance wear. However, as they continue their mission to expand the borders of basketball, the imprint continually drops product centered around the Guo Aulin, an 8-time All-Star and 4-time champion in the CBA. With the latest Air Jordan model beginning to settle onto the market after some notable debut looks and a splashy collab via the Maniere Jordan 39, the Flying Leopards phenom is checking off his take on the silhouette.

Since making history as the Jumpman’s first Chinese signee back in 2017, a constant stream of Guo Aulin PEs on the latest Air Jordan model and a host of hybrid models have toted refined blends of jade & yellow. With the luxe atmosphere of the Air Jordan 39, the color-blocking possibilities are a bit more reigned-in, so the application of that trademark hue comes in more conservative fashion. It makes its greatest impact on the heel and midfoot TPU shank, additionally dotting the alternating branding hits on the tongue.

The rest of the shoe delivers a dressy dose of neutrals, painting the outsole in off-white and most of the upper in light grey. While Guo Aulin would’ve almost assuredly gotten his own version regardless of what the Air Jordan 39 looked like, the nods to the Air Jordan 9‘s global emblems on the midsole and tongue create some serendipitous synergy with the international narrative on display here.

As with many previous Guo Auilin PEs, this colorway of the Air Jordan 39 is expected to be a China-exclusive drop. Expect a retail price of USD $200 if you get a chance at grabbing this pair.
