Black and red treatments make for a timeless aesthetic.

Is Jordan Brand’s Best New Basketball Shoe Of 2024 Made For Women?

Nike Basketball released its first ever unisex hoops shoe last year, and come Holiday 2024, Jordan Brand will have done the same. First previewed back in July, the upcoming Jordan Heir continues to surface in new colorways ahead of its impending rollout. Next up is a look rich in Air Jordan lore, taken in black and red for a familiar, Chicago-rooted feel.

Designed in collaboration with Jordan Brand-sponsored athletes, the shoe will be available in unisex sizing but is specifically tailored to the needs of women hoopers. Simply put; the Jordan Heir features an overall aesthetic similar to Russel Westbrook’s signature Jordan shoes. A TPU cage extends from the sole to the eyelets before wrapping around the heel, providing foot security for crossovers and the like. One layer down, the base features an assortment of different mesh fabrics, presented in slightly different shades of “University Red, “Gym Red,” and “Infrared 23” this time around. Specific performance features will be made public as we creep closer to a release.

With the WNBA playoffs starting in just a few days, its possible if not likely Jordan Brand will capitalize by outfitting one of their sponsored athletes in the Jordan Heir. As far as the rest of us go, we can expect the new model to hit shelves during the Holiday 2024 shopping season for $110. See official images of the “Black/University Red-Gym Red-Infrared 23” colorway below and tap our Jordan Release Dates page to preview more upcoming Jumpman deliveries.
