The Nike Air Exploraid Gets A Sleek Refresh In “Light Graphite”

Silhouettes like the Nike Air Mowabb carry out our understand of default Nike ACG palettes, typically cooking up an eccentric blend of accent shades atop outdoorsy, earthy base layers. However, as the Nike ACG Exploraid has become the most frequent face on store shelves from that cohort this year, it’s eschewed that 90’s era aesthetic and taken to inspiration far more wide ranging. Another contemporary look just landed on the Nike site, clad in a nocturnal “Light Graphite” adornment.

The combination of black & the titular dark grey is perfectly understandable, providing an easily-worn and easily reached-for tint atop of the cult classic ACG silo. Given the more vibrant history, though, it’s certainly a changeup. Ensuring that purists still can make out ties to the ACG catalog, the sub-brand’s stamp arrives untouched at the heel, carrying the “Saturn Gold” accent shade that’s given a big role to play in contrast to the darkened hues elsewhere. Finally, the curved, debossed midsole dips on either side still maintain the checkered pattern that’s so frequent on models of its time, including the similarly resurgent Air Humara.

As mentioned towards the top, the Nike ACG Air Exploraid “Light Graphite” is up for grabs now via Nike.com. Hit the links under “Where to Buy” to grab yours, or simply enjoy official images embedded below.
