As the Nike Air Max Dn has gotten (only relatively) longer in the tooth, the Swoosh has moved away from the simplistic looks that brought Dynamic Air to store shelves, an early design choice that let the tech advancements speak for themselves. With consumers becoming more aware of those hardware notes, Beaverton creatives have started to take bigger swings on the silhouette, exemplified once again by the Air Max Dn “Pale Ivory” at hand.
Best seen in the shot of the heel, a chain link pattern overtakes the multi-layered mesh over tap, particularly subtle given its white-on-white shading. All of those reigned-in choices cede more space to the hits of “Bright Crimson” through the profile, including matching treatment for the Air Max Dn branding on the tongue.
While the Dn has always delivered an inherent futuristic aesthetic, the jet black trim that defines this release completely doubles down on that lean. Match that with the new all-over print and the aesthetic emphasis on the rear “Dynamic” air chambers and you’ve got one of our favorite Air Max Dn looks to emerge in its first year on the market.
The Nike Air Max Dn in “Pale Ivory” is set to drop in time for the Holiday season, retailing at $160.
