After being teased at Gunna concerts and dropping exclusively at boutiques, the all-new adidas Aruku is set to release broadly on October 1st.
As of this writing, two different looks are on tap. In addition to the “Pure Ruby” colorway worn by Gunna at London’s WIRELESS Festival, the new adiZero model will debut in a multi-color arrangement dubbed “Sky Rush,” shown here via official images.
To the uninitiated; the adidas Aruku is a new lifestyle model inspired by high-performance runners. The shoe draws from early 2000s adiZero models and Japanese streetwear aesthetics, with a colossal Swirlfoam sole standing tall (literally) as its defining feature. The Aruku doesn’t hone in on one specific trend, but offers an olive branch to both runners and all those riding the Y2K wave all the same.
This “Sky Rush” colorway features three different shades up top, starting first with a “Lucid Blue” mesh base. Yellow synthetic material rests just above, while orange touches up the lining, laces, and stripes on both sides. All three shades factor into a gradient heel overlay, and dark blue and orange treatments appear on a zig-zag outsole.
As mentioned, the adidas Aruku “Sky Rush” will release on October 1st alongside the “Pure Ruby” colorway, retailing for $140. See official images below and turn to our “Where To Buy” section for purchase links when the time comes.
