Original article published October 5th, 2024: We’ve increasingly seen Beaverton designers get wilder & wilder with the Air Max Dn as it gets further into its lifespan, but the silhouette was clearly intended for two-tone looks. That’s why it’s unsurprising to see “Dynamic Air” return to its simplistic homebase, exactly the case with the “Light Smoke Grey” & “Persian Violet” outfit we’ve got on tap.
A fully neutral foundation sets the tone for this pair, pasting adjacent hits of “Light Smoke Grey” & “Photon Dust” across the midsole, the engineered mesh and the stippled TPU atop it. However, look to the Tn-inspired interruption in the sole unit for the more sprightly side of this look, injecting a sunset-like gradient of purple & pink that continues on the tongue and throughout the outsole. Finally, true to our title, the four air chambers take on a sky blue translucent finish, somewhat of a jump from the reflective fare we’ve seen in the past.
