Converse Cashes In On The Cowboy Boot Trend With All-Stars Inspired By The Wild West

The cowboy boot trend galloped into womens footwear fashion earlier this year as the American stockyard chic aesthetic permeated everyday-fashion themes, ironically pushed heavily by European high-fashion brands. You were hard pressed to walk a city block without seeing a pair of leather mid/high tops with ornate stitching as the shoe briefly took over as the “it” shoe.

Truthfully, cowboy boots have indeed stood the test of time, appearing every decade in spurts. Converse is, however, noticing a bit of a gap in the movement and steps with a sneaker version of the silhouette inspired by their timeless Chuck Taylor All-Star.

Called the Converse All Star Westernboot, this upcoming silhouette utilizes the sole foundation of the old-school sneaker with a high-cut design that channels that Western look while infusing the brand’s iconic star patch logo. A zipper exists at the medial ankle for a bit of roomy relief for easy slip on/off capability, while the athletic bottoms (arguably) provide a bit more comfort than a heeled sole.

Currently, Converse Japan will be releasing this concept shoe on October 25th, 2024; there’s yet to be information regarding a stateside release.
