Playful colorways on kids’ Jordans is a constant through line in recent Jumpman history. Earlier this year, we caught an Air Jordan 1 Low with ruffled edges, an interesting release in and of itself but nothing we projected forward as an overarching series. It seems, with new images of a GS Air Jordan 6 Low now hitting the newswire, that we were wrong.
The starring detail appears stitched under the suede overlays at the rear, cropping up as literal “window dressing” overlapping the perforated leather underneath. It’s a fittingly elegant aspect given the neutral foundation, yet the aquamarine, lavender and neon green trim around the shoe imbue the animated energy we expect out of GS Jordans. That atmosphere is fully driven home by some of the closing touches, including the speckled sole unit and the stippled laces that center the design.
Zooming out, there’s a notable resemblance to the Jordan 6 “Doernbecher,” certainly carrying distinct detailing in comparison to the pair at hand, but still carrying through a very similar overall palette. For fans of the Jordan 6 in general, this marks off only the fourth release of the model in 2024, following the “Reverse Oreo,” “Olympics” and “Paris Olympics” colorways from earlier in the year.
This GS Air Jordan 6 Low is expected to release this Holiday season. We’ll provide more concrete release info as soon as it emerges, but in the meantime, enjoy official images ahead.
