Nike Basketball’s “King Of The Court” Collection To Feature The Ja 2

An upcoming kids' collection comes into clear view with this pair.

Nike Basketball’s “King Of The Court” Collection To Feature The Ja 2

Part of what propelled Ja Morant to “future face of the league” status was his equity with the younger generation. It’s hard to argue with the appeal: the flashiest dunk package this side of Vince Carter and undeniable hardwood swagger is a perfect recipe for kids trying to be like Morant in their games. As we work through the first handful of Nike Ja 2 colorways, the latest edition is specifically tailored for the GS crowd.

Joining the Sabrina 2 and Giannis Freak 6 in a “KC” collection that we’re interpreting to mean “King Of The Court,” this Ja 2 best supports that concept. The tongue branding on those previous releases each emphasized a truly medieval or royal atmosphere, and Morant’s signature takes on a suit of armor in kind with that. For this colorway, the tongue logo flanks #12’s triangular signature logo with dragon outlines. The motif closes out with marbled accents on the overlays towards the forefoot, imbuing a premium atmosphere atop the high-concept edition.

The Nike Ja 2 “King Of The Court” releases November 1st in kids’ sizing, retailing at $100.
