The Nike Shox R4 continues to have its under-the-radar moment, and it’s exactly how the Swoosh wants to keep it. The gimmicky cushioning unit paired with its overtly sporty design is speaking directly to the Y2K aesthetic mongers, and it didn’t take any unrealistic marketing to hit that note. The Shox R4 is simply THAT shoe.

With several women’s only drops confirmed for Holiday 2024 and Spring of next year, the original Shox running shoe will only continue to have this impressive streak well into 2k25. This sporty “Racer Blue” version is one of several confirmed releases, and if these look familiar to you, they should; Nike released this exact version years ago, but only in Grade School sizes.
