First Look At The Nike Ja 2 “EYBL” PE

Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League is currently in offseason mode, but we just got a first look at one of the sneakers Nike will gift participating players as the 2025 season looms large. Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 2 is the model in question, taken with texture swaps and shimmery gold treatments.

This was always to be expected. Nike touches down with several EYBL PEs every year, and no Nike signee has more motion among today’s youth than Ja Morant. His first signature, the Nike Ja 1, got two PE colorways in 2023.

The images above and below come to us via prm.cotd on Instagram, showcasing a pale yellow/gold shoe with metallic blue Swoosh logos. The real intrigue pertains to the quarter. Morant’s second Nike Basketball shoe has embraced great variety in that department throughout its short run, adopting tactile radial finishes, TPU paneling, and unique patterns tied to specific holidays. This EYBL PE appears to feature debossed ostrich-inspired material, introducing another fabric to the emerging model.

As with all EYBL PEs, this Ja 2 isn’t expected to release publicly at the time of this writing. In any case, enjoy detailed imagery below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview upcoming Nike Basketball shoes.
