You still sleeping?

Official Images Of The A Ma Maniere Converse Weapon Low

The latest step in A Ma Maniere x Nike, Inc. is easily their most significant. As we continue to work through the sprawling, brand boundary-crossing “While You Were Sleeping,” collection, the Converse Weapon, the fifth of six shoes, is coming into clearer view.

Capitalizing on the same rosy palette as all of its peers, the Converse Weapon primarily utilizes blush tones on its upper, especially eye-catching with the inset fuschia notes in the midfoot star logo. Look to the heel for another A Ma Maniere calling card; a satin liner in burgundy opts for a more flush arrangement but still carries the requisite quilted detailing with crosshatch stitching throughout.

All of that combines to make this shoe somewhat reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 of the same name, furthering the cohesive aesthetic that runs through the “While You Were Sleeping” collection as a whole.  The expected co-branded details close out the shoe, with the brand’s type running diagonally up the heel counter and their “A” monogram inset into the heel.

With their Air Max 95 (nearly) through its release cycle, the A Ma Maniere Converse Weapon is almost assuredly next up. While we’ll have to wait for official word from the DMV collective to confirm, the shoe will likely be accompanied by an apparel collection when it drops. Expect these to launch sometime in November, retailing for $120.
