We’ve been tracking a fresh pack release as the NBA season has kicked off: the “King Of The Court” capsule, a kids-sized assembly that offers up the latest and greatest from Nike Basketball with a royal twist on each pair. After Morant and Ionescu stamped their entries, the most fitting edition comes with the LeBron 22’s take on the idea.
This LeBron 22 begins a gold camo-like finish, that pattern often defined the LeBron 21 throughout its time on the shelves. In contrast to its previously-revealed peers, this pair eschews the regal tongue tag, sticking with the jewel XX2 logo we’ve seen on all the colorways so far. Instead, it transposes a crown logo to the lateral side of the midsole and the complete crest treatment to the insole. The use of lions and crowns through the history of LeBron’s signature shoes means the King is uniquely fit for this concept — the only drawback with this release is that it would’ve likely made for a standout in adult sizing.
Nonetheless, the Nike LeBron 22 “King of the Court” will hit shelves on November 1st in GS sizing, retailing for $140. Anticipate with the rest of the collection, including the Ja 2 and Sabrina 2, landing that same day.
