You Can Only Get This Rosy New Balance 1906R At Courir

As we’ve touched on before, New Balance has been steadfast in their attempts to work a middle ground between GRs and collaborations, unleashing a slew of retailer-exclusive looks that thread the needle between full saturation and the hype that comes with limited supply. The latest beneficiary of that program is the French storefront Courir, and New Balance designer Anna Wilson tipped off a pink and gray pair set to land soon.

The design here is pretty easily digestible, maintaining the Y2K chrome overlays that run across your typical New Balance 1906R, but pinning an unorthodox hot pink layer of mesh underneath. Some slight contrast comes with the black piping that dots the laces and bisects the shoe with the “N-Lock” unit, but generally, the primary two tones are left to carry this pair. While plenty intriguing on its own merits, this elucidates the Boston brand’s increasing willingness to utilize vibrant palettes on their tentpole tech runner on not just collaborative efforts, but products that line store shelves each season.

This New Balance 1906R should materialize soon at the French retailer, expected to carry the typical $160 / €160 price tag.
