LaMelo Ball has flashed in the early goings of the NBA season, reviving his Chino Hills flair with his patented one-legged treys that regularly dominate highlights packages and social media feeds. His signature line with PUMA continues to pay dividends as well, a reliability that prompted the German company to spin off his likeness into the PUMA LaFrancé, an off-the-court silhouette that taps into his love for chunky designer shoes.

In the early goings of the lifestyle signature, LaMelo and PUMA have utilized all-over tonal looks, a theme that continues with this “Gifted” colorway in orange. Applying just one shade is a divergence from the multi-color fare we’ve come to expect from his basketball shoes, but the same level of audaciousness lives through hi-vis palettes.

While it’s well-documented that LaMelo Ball shoes are a smash hit in the younger demographic, what’s been surprising about the run of the PUMA LaFrancé is its adoption in the older crowd. So far, every colorway has sold out on PUMA.com, with the most recent “Assist” lime green colorway currently projected to achieve that same fate.
