New Balance Just Dropped A NYC Marathon Edition Of Its Most Popular Running Shoe

Run clubs have become extraordinarily popular since the pandemic, especially in New York City. Therefore, it’s not at all surprising that for the upcoming New York City Marathon, sneaker brands are pulling out all the stops to showcase their commitment to the sport.

New Balance is highlighting its running division in two ways; forming Baklava Performance in partnership with Action Bronson, and releasing special “NYC Marathon” colorways of their foremost runners. Now joining the SuperComp Elite v4 among the Boston brand’s New York City Marathon offerings is the 1080v14, New Balance’s “do it all” runner suitable for pavement, treadmills, and everything in between.

Official images reveal a blue base and khaki-colored midsole, decorated of course by ample marathon-centric branding. The marathon’s logo appears on the tongue and insoles in bright orange, complemented by “New York City” text along the lateral New Balance logo. Men’s sizes (pictured below) feature a blue, green, and yellow gradient over the top portion of the midsole, while women’s sizes with a pink and orange gradient and gum soles. The model is also available in a pink, white, and black “NYC Marathon” colorway for both men and women.

New Balance’s entire New York City Marathon Collection, including the 1080v14, SuperComp Elite v4, and apparel, is available now from the brand’s website. See our “Where To Buy” section below to begin your purchase journey.
