Cracked Leather And Gum Soles Collide On The Nike Air Force 1 Low

Updated November 12th, 2024: Official images of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Particle Beige” have been uploaded. This pair is still projected to drop Spring 2025 with retail set around $135.

At this stage, there’s nothing inherently surprising about seeing a pair of Air Force 1s on store shelves (it might be more newsworthy to walk into a local outlet and see none.) Don’t confuse the reliability of the silhouette with an inability to deliver a standout look, however, something we’re confident the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Particle Beige” will capitalize on for Spring 2025.

As mentioned in our title, the distressed exterior on the leather overlays is the main selling point of this pair, revealing a cracked lower layer in truth but resembling Nike’s “Electric” safari print or ostrich leather at first glance. Perhaps more surprising is the choice to roll out that attention-grabbing material in such staid colors, matching a beloved “Light Brown Gum” sole underfoot with “Particle Beige” khaki up top.

It allows this shoe to remain in accessible territory in terms of everyday appeal, and if that doesn’t suit your style, it creates even more emphasis on the “Hyper Pink” Swoosh that crashes through over top. As a closing detail, the Nike Air logo on the heel appears in the same bubblegum shade, its embossed texture almost poking thru from the heel cup.

Expect the Nike Air Force 1 Low to materialize in time for Spring 2025, landing in women’s sizing. Retail pricing isn’t confirmed at the time of writing, but this pair will likely hover in the $135 range.
