The New Balance 9060 Captures Seasonal “Plum Brown”

Autumnal appeal for the dominant lifestyle shoe.

The New Balance 9060 Captures Seasonal “Plum Brown”

While we’ve been incredibly intrigued with retro efforts behind the New Balance 475 and New Balance 1000, there’s still a three-headed monster that leads the Boston brand’s efforts. The New Balance 1906R, New Balance 550 and New Balance 9060 seem set to continue their dominant runs well into 2025. In the meantime, they’re ticking off new looks for the colder months, including the New Balance 9060 “Plum Brown” that just hit the ‘net.

We begin with swatches of burgundy suede up top, dancing atop similarly rose mesh just below. The cooler side of the color wheel enters the mix as accenting, with a strip of navy matching the sockliner and the thin synthetic underlays paired with the translucent TPU at the heel. Jump down underfoot for a full-blown black contrast sole, a relatively rare touch on the New Balance 9060. Though there’s nary an earthy shade to note, the autumnal aspects of this look are undeniable, largely executed with a darker overall profile carried by the outsole.

Look for the New Balance 9060 “Plum Brown” dropping sometime in November, arriving with the usual $150 price tag.
