It’s been five years since we’ve seen the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” retro in proper fashion, so naturally, the “Bred Velvet” has been met with more ridicule than acclaim leading up to its release. While not touted as “Reimagined,” this falls under the same canon of Jordan releases consisting of original colorways with material swaps and/or pre-aged details.

On top of the key texture swap, the AJ11 “Bred Velvet” comes with metal Jumpman logos to suit its intended, premium aesthetic. It’s not necessarily a shoe for Jordan purists, but for those who place less priority on tradition. Notably, Jordan Brand plans to release a Jordan 11 Low Bred in 2025, with that shoe taking inspiration from a player edition MJ wore during the 1996 playoffs.

In any case, if the Jordan 11 “Bred Velvet” is on your wish list, you should have little trouble copping a pair at retail on November 11th. See our “Where To Buy” section above for the full store list and visit our Jordan Release Dates page to preview more from the Jumpman.
