Kevin Durant Welcomes Nike’s Newest NIL Class With A Tough Love Message

Although sportswear companies have been connecting with young athletes and talents for decades, the rise of NIL deals in recent years has opened the doors to far more competition in the industry. Luring future stars has never been a major challenge for Nike given the magnanimity of its current brand representatives, so when someone like Kevin Durant speaks, all you can do is sit down and listen.

Nike has just announced its newest NIL class, welcoming Ace Bailey, AJ Dybantsa, Dylan Harper, Jazzy Davidson and Jerzy Robinson to the Swoosh fam. One of these names could be a future signature athlete for Nike, but not until they prove their worth to the greats.

This latest spot by Nike features a highlight reel of these future studs, narrated by Easy Money Sniper who gives encouraging, grounded, and tough messaging. Durant says “…but y’all ain’t really showed me nothing yet…there are no free meals at this table,”  reminding athletes that the journey has barely started, while following with “…this family ain’t for everyone, so let’s see what you got. I’ll be watching.” as a show of support.
