You’d think a rivalry of this stature would have a deeper history, but given the recent directions of both franchises, it appears that this conflict is only getting fiercer.
This upcoming duo by Nike presents the LD-1000 in some familiar colors. While in no way officially connected to the two Major League teams (unlike the SB Dunk “Mets vs. Phillies” from 2022), we can’t help but notice how the two-toned colorways are near-perfect matches. The orange and dark navy as well as the light blue and maroon have us fixed on the respective throwback uniforms, coinciding with the LD-1000’s original debut.
