Slick Gets His Own adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Colorway

Anthony Edwards truly brought his whole team with him to the top. The superstar SG’s best friend, Nick Maddox, is living proof. On top of getting plenty of screen time in his “Starting Five” featured sections, “Slick” became something of a sensation in the enduringly popular promo around the adidas Anthony Edwards 1, listing off Olympians that can’t contain Ant in a Paris-centric spot this summer. Slick’s dedication now pays off in the opposite direction, with another fresh ad positioning his colorway for the breakout hit.

It’s more of a “teaser” spot than any of the previous ads that commanded headlines (including on our own site), focusing on a genuinely touching BTS moment where Edwards unveils a literal truckful of the baby blue kicks to their namesake. While the model has been able to carve out some serious off-court appeal, Edwards adds his stamp to this pair, promising that Slick’s edition will be with him on-court without question.

Look on the roof of the van they arrive in, replete with a “Georgia Peach” colorway that harkens to the defining colorway for the model, for a connection to the shoe’s unofficial nickname; a red ribbon bow on top hits on the “Christmas” moniker the pair carried in early leaks and looks. On top of solidifying Maddox and Edwards’ rock-solid bond, this spot certifies what perplexed us most about this release, with the script logo on the tongue now finally revealed as a tie to Slick rather than new AE branding.

This version of the adidas Anthony Edwards Low lands on December 14th, arriving in both men’s and GS sizing. Watch our “Where To Buy” section for direct links on release day, and catch the full ad spot just ahead.
