Duke’s home jerseys are the obvious guiding light for this edition; pure white paints the majority of the upper, accented with rich royal blue trim on the synthetic liner, midfoot strap, and etched sole unit. Even if the Blue Blood school is the main narrative piece at work, don’t think that the personal touches that define the KAI 1 are lost in the process, though. Kyrie’s angular ANTA logo appears on the tongue and peeks through the toe-box, while the mantra “The Journey Is The Rewards” appears on the heel, an especially fitting motif for this colorway.
Following a well-established cadence during his time with ANTA, the KAI 1 “College” serves as a stateside counterpart to the “Blue Dynasty” edition that’s already landed overseas, that pair utilizing the color scheme with a more stealthy overall appearance.
The ANTA KAI 1 “College” hasn’t been officially announced by ANTA themselves yet, but retailers like Sneaker Politics and DTLR have this pair listed for December 14th.
