Though no one can argue with the Air Jordan 1’s enduring style, on-foot experience is a different matter altogether. Mike’s first signature isn’t the most cushioned nor supportive model on the market, a reputation strong enough that it prompted Beaverton to deliver the CMFT retooling, aimed at infusing modern wearability tech into that timeless construction. With a sequel to that prompt landing early this year, fresh colorways have trickled out on a consistent basis, now meeting the season in style with an “Olive/Gum” colorway expected soon.
Suede carries the topmost overlays in the “Sequoia” shade, setting up a naturalistic atmosphere further explored as you work through the design. Note the inset Swoosh, one of many retooled aspects compared to the mainline model, sporting deep brown mesh embedded into the shoe’s upper. An everlasting touch, a gum sole finish, crashes in towards the bottom, working some skate sensibility into the otherwise earthy overall profile. Performance wise, you’ll find patented Formula 23 cushioning embedded in that rubber sole, making a wonky fit for your favorite AJ1 a thing of the past. Spotlighting seasonal vibes is only the cherry on top.
Look for the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “Olive/Gum” on shelves come Spring 2025, carrying the typical $150 retail price. In the meantime, check out the official image gallery embedded just below.
