A’ja Wilson Signs Extension With Nike, Signature Shoe Coming In 2025

Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson is coming off one of the greatest WNBA seasons of all time, having averaged 26.9 points and 11.9 blocks en route to winning her third MVP and becoming the first player in league history to score 1,000 points in a season. She’s the best player in the WNBA, and for our purposes, an integral part of Nike’s emerging roster of signature women athletes.

Shams Charania of ESPN has reported that Wilson and Nike have come to terms on a six-year contract extension that’s one of the “richest shoe deals for a women’s basketball player.” If you’re been keeping pulse with A’ja’s tenure with Nike thus far, the news should hardly come as a surprise. Nike announced the release of a signature A’ja Wilson shoe dubbed the A’One for 2025 and already introduced her signature logo on tee shirts earlier this year.

Wilson signed with Nike during her rookie season in 2018 and most recently wore the LeBron 22 on-court, although she won’t be borrowing other hoopers’ signature models for much longer. The arrival of the A’One will make her just the third current WNBA player with a Nike Basketball shoe alongside Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark (whose inaugural signature is also in the works for next year).
