Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf References His Iconic “Signing Day” Fit

"You gotta believe!"

Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf References His Iconic “Signing Day” Fit

1989 was a comically busy year for Deion Sanders. In just a six-month span, the dual-sport star was drafted into the NFL, made his MLB debut, then played in his first pro football game for the Atlanta Falcons, authoring the first page in what would later become one of the greatest sport legacies of all time. Sanders knew he was hot stuff from the get-go, and the fit he wore to the 1989 NFL draft reflected that to a tee. Come Spring 2025, Nike will honor Sanders’ gold-laden draft day garb with a “Signing Day” edition of his first Nike signature; the Air Diamond Turf.

Taken to match Sanders’ leather coat and gold jewelry, the Air Diamond Turf “Signing Day” features a full black leather upper and tasteful, special detailing. The heel drops “Nike Air” text in favor of gold “You Gotta Believe!” stitching; a motto Sanders now instills on his team as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. More gold hits appear on the tongue, which features Sanders’ two most notable NFL and MLB jersey numbers (#21 and #24), as well as the Swoosh, insoles, and mesh portion of the lace strap.

Official images emerge as Shedeur Sanders, Deion’s son and QB1 for the Buffaloes, is looking forward to a draft night of his very own. Deion has been vocal about Shedeur being a top pick in the 2025 draft, and most major outlets have him listed as a consensus top-three guy alongside Cam Ward and Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

The Air Diamond Turf “Signing Day” is due out Summer 2025, meaning Nike might try and coincide the release with the next NFL draft (taking place April 24th-26th) for significance’s sake. In any case, keep this page handy for updates while we keep our ears up for a firm date.
