Original article published December 31st, 2024; After last hitting stores in the Summer of 2022, the Nike Air Trainer SC High in the original “Auburn” colorway is expected to return in Summer 2025. Read on for a full breakdown.

According to sneaker info leaker sneakermarketro, the iconic cross-training model from Nike’s unforgettable 1989 catalog is set to hit stores once more during the summer season of the new year. Bearing the signature bright orange and vivid purple shades that drew the “Auburn” nickname in the first place, this classic Nike trainer is poised for an exact reissue as the Swoosh looks to regain the attention of its core consumer.

As stated earlier, the shoes haven’t been gathering dust for long; Nike re-released the shoes in September of 2022 for $130. However, the demand still exists as brand new pairs are still in movement on secondary marketplaces, leading Nike to move strategically with this release.

Below is a look at official Nike images of the 2022 pair; it’s unclear if the 2025 version will carry any special details or discolorations seen in its vintage-focused models.
