adidas Changed The Forum Into A Skate Shoe

Sneaker designers are always thinking about what’s next. Pondering the future of design is what drives innovation, but what if the challenge included a specific time frame that may be the “future” of the model, but an era that has since passed?

The Forum2000 is the latest in a series by adidas Originals that imagines the future of its iconic models, but framed in the era of the early 2000s. This series includes models like the Crazy IIINFINITY and MAD IIINFINITY, but the Forum2000 is the first attempt at a model from the 1980s.

While they’ve accomplished this already with the popular Campus 00s, the Forum2000 is an extension of the classic hoops shoe, but infused with the skate-friendly design that was all the rage during Y2K. In fact, the same fattened tongue and side-stripes are ushered in, joining an established Forum design DNA that is clearly apparent via the toe-box and heel design.

Expect the Forum2000 to come forward in a ton of new colorways this Spring and Summer 2025 (it’s already included in the adidas Basketball Year Of The Snake collection), because new colorways are available now for men and women at $120.
