Andrew Rizzo 2024 saw adidas champion turn-of-the-century basketball shoe aesthetics through the IIInfinity series; a new yet retro-driven line consisting of three models inspired in part by Kobe Bryant’s infamous Crazy 1. While you can technically hoop in IIInfinity shoes, adidas has been positioning all three models for lifestyle wear as opposed to performance. That’s exemplified by this latest Nova IIInfinity, taken with suede sidewalls and a contemporary palette of “Core Black” and “Warm Sandstone.”
Official images showcase a split between the two main colors, with the tongue, collar, and synthetic sliver up top all coming in black. The sidewalls, which feature embossed horizontal lines and perforated stripes, make for a classy aesthetic with “Warm Sandstone” suede as opposed to leather (which has been the norm on most Nova colorways thus far). A “Warm Sandstone” midsole adds cohesion underfoot, while brown gum outsoles polish off the delivery.
These are available now via the adidas website, and if previous releases are any indication, they’ll likely go on sale after some time. If you’re unwilling to wait, budget for an MSRP of $130.
