Barring any major reconciliations, sneakerheads won’t see the release of adidas Yeezy shoes in 2025 (or ever again, for that matter). However, we’d be remiss to ignore the fact that the Kanye West x adidas partnership left an indelible mark on the Three Stripes that still shines through their catalog today, be it via new Yeezy-esque models or the return of archival silhouettes the Chicago rapper helped popularize during his run.
The adidas Powerphase debuted in 1987, but it went mainstream thirty years later when Kanye West re-introduced it under the Yeezy “Calabasas” series. Kanye’s Yeezy Powerphase was essentially the same as the original, differing only through “Calabasas” text along the quarter and its selection of monochrome colorways.
If you were among fans of the model in the late 2010s, you’ll be pleased to hear that adidas is bringing it back by way of a “Grey Two” general release. An all-suede upper takes the titular hue, while the midsole continues the contemporary aesthetic in “Off White.”
Retailer images have already begun surfacing, hinting that a release is right around the corner. Budget for an MSRP of $110 upon arrival if you’re interested in picking up a pair.
