LaMelo Ball is to PUMA what Anthony Edwards is to adidas. The Charlottes Hornets star appeals directly to today’s youth through his playful, energetic personality and crafty play from the point guard position, currently in the midst of a career year and an early pick for this season’s Most Improved Player award. Even with PUMA Basketball recently announcing Tyrese Haliburton as their latest signature athlete, LaMelo Ball shoes look to be the darling of the sub-brand for the foreseeable future.

With recent PUMA MB.04 collaborations with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SLAM Magazine feeding the performance side of things, LaMelo Ball’s PUMA LaFrance lifestyle shoe just surfaced in a new look that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day. Here we have an almost all-pink look featuring a canvas upper, with grey hits appearing on the bulbous eyelets and branded elements. It’s been said throughout all our PUMA LaFrance coverage thus far, but to the uninitiated; the silhouette is highly reminiscent of Lanvin shoes and the Osiris D3 by extension.
